I couldn't have asked for a better stay at Casal Da Serra. The hosts, Antonio and Isabel, were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The room was spacious and clean, with a breathtaking view of the village and countryside. The Portuguese breakfast served was delicious, with locally sourced products. One highlight of my stay was hiking to the castle and exploring the miller's cottages and museum near the creek. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely return when I visit the region again.
While the building itself was charming, I must mention that it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues or wheelchair users due to the many stairs. However, for those who are able, the unique and traditional design of the place is truly worth experiencing.

The homemade furniture gave the place a rustic feel, and the owner's guitar playing was a pleasant surprise. The view from the terrace was stunning and worth the visit alone. Additionally, the breakfast had a good variety of options and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a standout.
The lack of clear directions and information about the facilities was frustrating. The maps provided were useless and didn't show any useful information.
